Title: Early July 4th
Post by: car54 on July 04, 2007, 03:56:16 PM
My holiday started early when at 11:15 AM on Tuesday, a part of my work place's substation blew up causing us to leave at 11:30. Before that I was joking with fellow employees that it would be nice to leave at noon.

I also want to thank all the people you have, and are making America the greatest and most honorable nation in the world.

It is a very old substation. The transformers did not blow but the insulators and main fuses did. Ironically,on July 9th it, routine maintenance was scheduled.

Glad that you are ok... now stop using crewing-gun wrappers as safety fuses.
