Title: Warning JPG and PNG files
Post by: Oldman on October 09, 2004, 01:20:32 AM
Well looks like someone has figured out how to hack out photos in JPG and PNG files. If you are running XP the only fix I found was to update to SP2.  From what I'm "told" there is a download for early Windows that will protect you.

"The potential is very high for an attack," said Craig Schmugar, virus research manager for security software company McAfee."

You don't have to download a picture, open an attached picture with your mail client, to get hit--you can get it by just viewing web-pages.

So check your Windows' upgrade.
