Title: Kielbasa...t-bone...rib eye
Post by: bigblueh20 on July 28, 2007, 09:47:53 AM
Bought a 4 rack digital BS last week...did a pull pork at a neighborhood block party. Neighbors guaranteed that they'd never get rid of my smoker - they didn't mention me though...

Question, I'd like to have a bbq tonight, I have a Kielbasa, some ground hamburger beef, a couple of T_Bones and Rib eyes in the fridge thawing out.

Could Someone provide me with a suggestion as to how I can cook all of this at once? or in what order? temperature levels and cook times would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks, Big Blue

I would smoke the steaks and the burger for 20 to 40 minutes, then throw on the grill.  I think you'll get better results.  Smoke the kielbasa till done, dig in and enjoy.  By the way, a few cold beverages won't hurt either! ;) Good luck

Acords, thanks for the feedback. When you say smoke for 20-40 minutes...would you put the oven temperature/heat on? or cold smoke?

Any idea what temp to cook the Kielbasa on and for how long? How do you measure the measure the internal temperature of the Kielbasa? If i use an internal thermometer I'm afraid I'll be popping holes in the skin, no?

go ahead and cold smoke.  I'm not really sure about temp for the kielbasa.  If it's pork, I would take it up to a safe temp for pork.  Smoke at a high temp 250 or higher.  I don't think it should take much more than a couple of hours.  I've heard that people do hamburgers the same way, but definitely do the steaks on the grill after a cold smoke.  BTW did I mention cold berverages :D

Thanks for the help....no need to remind me about cold beverages....I have a tap right next to the smoker. Makes it tough as to which one to use first - cook the breakfast sausage or tap a beer???

I actually smoked some grassfed beef which i bought online...sick. Juicy and full of flavor...I was camping with friends...It was a tough decision between the burgers and the pull pork - the nice thing about burgers is the fact they only take like an hour.

Quotecook the breakfast sausage or tap a beer???

I say yes and yes

My tap is in the laundry room, but still pretty convenient.  Mine is filled with Rhode Scholar Stout.  It makes me feel freakin brilliant ;)
