Hey everyone,
I've been looking for the foodsaver bags that have the gold backing on them like you see smoked fish come in.
Does anyone know of a source for these?
Tried foodsaver dot com but nothing there.

I'm not sure they even make them. I have them for my commercial sealer but I have never seen them with the relief channels like the food saver bags. Another alternative would be to get the gold boards from the butcher suppliers for fish packing. PM me if you run into a road block and I'd be more than happy to help you find a source. ;D

Those look like the ones I use Arcs. They work with a chamber type sealer but don't work right with a food saver type sealer because they don't have the dimples so it can't evacuate the air out of the bag.

have you ever tried using a paper towel (like 1/2 size otherwise known as Brawney Select A Size) in the end of the bag to simulate the channel surface? I have used them in the regular bags to keep liquid from interfering with the suction and sealing. Just a thought for an experiement.

I've done that and it works pretty good. On the older Food Savers you can put a little string in the bag and stick it out the back behind the sealer bar and when the air is all out of the bag you pull the string out and hit the sealer bar.
