Did you see that BBQ GURU has a new product out. Looks pretty neat i might add.

I saw that nepas if you're referring to the digital competitor.  I guess every thing eventually evolves to digital read out.  I know the accuracy of their old twist knob models are phenomenal.  I guess we can only wait and see what additional bells and whistles materialize.  Thanks for sharing.

yeah guess i am going to wait and see if one is made that works with my Raptor.

It should work with the Raptor. The Raptor simulates the fan blower that you would have to install if you had a wood/charcoal burning smoker. Also the Raptor hooks up to the competitor, pit minder and ProComm 4, so hopefully this will also.

I'm not sure what the fourth hook up is for. It looks like a dedicated 12v connections. Some pictures he has all four wires connected, and others he has only three connected. If he considers this an upgrade to the Competitor, he usually give those that currently have the competitor a break in price (though it's not much).

After taking a closer look, I see what the fourth connector is. I seems he now has separate connectors for each thermocouple, one for the pit (cabinet), and the other for the meat.
