Are these only available in Canada? If so, I might have to make a trip to Windsor.

Nepa,

I was talking to Bradley and it doesn't look like they will make there way across the border. They are more of a one time deal with Crown Royal. Maybe someone up North could smuggle a few boxes across :)

Bummer, guess I'll have to find an old barrel and make my own.
I drank a whole bottle of Crown when I was young and upped my cookies. No bisquetts though. :o :D

Hey guys

I have yet to see any here in Saskatchewan. My understanding is they have a package of 4 pucks attached to the top of certian sized bottles of Crown Royal. If I tried to put together an entire box... I'm thinking my head might be a little sore!  :D  ;D  :o

That's the problem.  You've got to buy a tonne of booze just to get 4 pucks.  If I bought a second 40 ouncer just to get a few pucks to drop in the mail, I think I might be looking for a new wife.

Ice..... I'm headed down the AlCan this week. Want me to pick any up for you?

P.S.
Wish me luck...I'll be taking down four motorcycles and some firearms. That oughta keep 'em busy with me at the US border in Sumas! Funny how that border thing works...southbound, nobody even blinks at anything at Canadian border @ Beaver Creek, YT but everyone at US Border in WA choke like this is the first time they've seen classic bikes/cars come through FROM Alaska ???. Northbound, folks at Canadian border in BC ALWAYS seem to stop me for something (mostly nice folks though, at all the borders) ?!?!?

Can't think of anything I need Kummock except my brother told me Ron Rico Silver in CA. is now at least 1/2 of what it is up here. But thanks for asking. I'm trying to find out how much they will let me ship up to Anchorage.
You drive safe buddy and enjoy the trip. :)

What's the ALCan?

Hey Kummok.  I did up some of your Fish Egg Omelette on Sunday (or something close to it anyways).

Three Eggs, half & half cream instead of milk (would have used table cream if I had it), smoked salmon & a little salt and pepper.  Did I miss anything?

They were really good.

I may be wrong but I believe ALCan is the Alaska-Canadian Highway.  I was on it years ago and it was mostly gravel and dirt back then.  I think it is paved now-a-days.

I was just on the AlCan about three weeks back and it was so improved, there were spots where you'd think you were on the Autobahn! I hate to hit some of those buffalo/caribou/moose/deer/black bear/etc at 110 mph though! Think I'll keep it around 60-65.......

Might be able to work something out NePa, but I'm only traveling as far east as MO

I have not seen these yet, but if Walleye is right, Bradley done went and did it backwards again.  How many Crown drinkers do you think have smokers.....now how many Bradley owners would drink Crown?

What they should do is attach those little tag along bottles of Crown to a 48 pack of pucks.  You gotta pick up an entire Christmas stock of whiskey to get enough smoke for any kinda project.

Maybe they should have skipped the whiskey/puck samples, and just wrapped the pucks in a purple velvet sack instead of cardboard!!!  ;D ;D ;D

I just have not seen any literature on these yet.

WTF

If you do a search on Google for Crown Royal Bradley Bisquetts you get a few hits. One of them is a link to the Bradley anouncement. The link is old and doesn't work but from the google search you can read the first couple of lines. It indicates 4 pucks are attached to some Crown Royal bottles that are available in "private" liquor stores. This would explain why there are none in Saskatchewan because we only have government run LB stores.

It's a shame to think how many of those bisquettes are being thrown away or incinerated in a grill by the non Bradley owners.  :'(

I guess someone who chugs one of the CR bottles in one sitting may think they're cookies and eat them as a snack. ;)

I don't get it. Doesn't Bradley monitor this forum? I agree with Whitetail. What a back-asswards promotion! Before I jumped on the DBS wagon I was using Jack Daniels oak chips in a smoke box on my grill and turned out some really tasty Q spraying with appleJack until done. Good results, but what a chore trying to control indirect heat with all the drafts and dead spots. Maybe some of you guys who are talkin' making pucks could consider this. Daniels chips their barrels themselves and because of the barrel thickness doesn't have chunks available. I understand it only takes a calogen slurry to mold the bisquettes but I'm at a loss when it comes to molding other than fiberglass. I still spritz with appleJack in the DBS but, boy, sure would like some JD pucks!  ??? :-\ ;D

All right, I admit it.  All this talk about the crown got my attention.  So I had to have some at the Rotary golf tournament at Diablo Grande, CA.  Here's the fun part: wild boar have been ripping the sh!t out of the fairways.  Looks like they had four years worth of irrigation work occur in a weekend.

So we get done with the golf, and it's time to BS, have a beer and some food, and see who cheated enough to win a prize (just kidding).  So there's a buffet and on the menu, no kidding: pulled pork.  I wonder where they got their meat?  After we were done laughing, I was pleased to be pulled aside by a few and be told that my smoked pulled pork (thanks for the technique Rat) is much better.   Pride's a deadly sin, right?

Anyway, I didn't notice any improved vision afte the crown, except for maybe a more positive outlook, but we had a blast.

Someone on this forum has already tried that. With my luck, all the bisquettes will go up in flame taking the BS with it. ;D

I will unselfishly volunteer my services for those who find the crown with the pucks to drink the crown for you, I will gladly provide my mailing address for you to send them too.  I will also accept any leftovers from the BS. :D

Thanks,

I tried to use the Crown pucks but it didn't work out to well. After downing 6 bottles of crown to save up enough pucks for a smoke I finally sobbered up but I forgot what I did with the pucks!!! :D :D :D ;)
Oh well if at first you don't succeed ::) ;)

When you say "fairly well". what do you mean?  Would you suggest it or was it not what you expected?

Thanks!
