Title: Ain't Momma's Meat Loaf
Post by: wicz on September 25, 2007, 08:53:16 AM
I am planning on smoking Ain't Momma's Meat Loaf from the Smoke & Spice cookbook.  My question is, how long should smoke it for?  Any suggestions on the type of wood?  Any other pointers or tips would be great help too.

Thanks Wildcat.  It looks great.  How many did that one loaf feed?  I may have to do some calling around for a meatloaf basket.

It was enough for myself, my wife, and a 17 year old boy with enough left over for sandwiches the next day.  It really depends on how much food one can consume.

The next time I do one of these I will do at least two.  One without the pork and one with about half of the bread crumbs to see what made the first one turn out like it did.  I may even do a third one - one with half the crumbs and without the pork.  Something was just not right with that first one.
