If a man says he knows anything at all, he knows nothing what he aught to know. But...
Martin,
From what I've heard, internet access (or at least email) is pretty available over there. If you find yourself or your brothers in need of anything, please let us know. We will try & find a way to get it to you.
I was recently involved with a group of guys that bought & shipped Beretta 9mm mags to a unit there because the Army only felt they needed one per man because it was their sidearm. What a crock of dung![:(!]
Stay safe, godspeed & keep in touch. And, THANK YOU, regardless of what the biased media would like you to believe, us civvies are PROUD of you guys and do APPRECIATE what you're doing.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
Thanks for the kind words everyone..
I will try to get on once in a while from over there if the filters don't lock me out.

If you in warm(heat or action)area, despite the heat, wear you Kevlar/body armor even when you are miserable hot. Damn desert! Crotch pot cooking at times!
Stay cool and stay safe. I volunteered for Desert Storm x2 when call went out for MDs and RNs.... they wouldn't take me because I had been working outside the clinical area for years. At the time, post retirement, I was in an inactive Reserve unit. I figured I was an Officer in the Army, and medical help was needed...it was my obligation to volunteer. In restrospect I'm glad I'm glad I didn't get called up...just too old and too out of shape.
You have lots of support from your fellow smokers. Come home soon!

Yes, I agree. But you also have lots of support from your fellow civilians! We're just a special group that feels a closer bond through a cooking unit.
The rest of America is proud too, we're just a little prouder that you're in our group!
I'll second what Bill said: Come home soon! and safe! Let me know when you're back, we'll send you some supplies to cook up some PORK, since you'll probably be jones'n for it by then.[8D]
