Title: Cheap Pork Butt
Post by: West Coast Kansan on September 27, 2007, 01:35:01 PM
92 cents a pound at VONs, was in the card savers case tuesday. Not sure if this carries over to Safeway or not.  Got two 8 pounders - look real nice.

Thanks Habs, feels good too.

Work travel went crazy for a bit, oldest daughter (handicapped one) broke her leg and still has complications of pnemonia, Grandson was born in Tucson a month ago, now, just saw him last weekend and will be showing off pictures shortly - and mother in law passed away last week and services this week in Iowa.  Has been a lot more than nuts and looking forward to a return to normal - which I used to think was busy.

My condolences on MIL.  If I can help ya out with a ride from the airport or anything, let me know...may not be able to do it myself, but I could sure find somebody who could.

edit:  After re-reading, I see my offer may be too late.  Still stands though if ya ever need it.

Thanks TT, it is over now I am home - except wife and her family are still cleaning up the house etc.  They will fly from MPLS Sat.  Thanks greatly for the offer!

My condolences as well. Sounds like you had a rough run. Best of luck to you and yours. Hopefully you'll find some therapy "smoking" time to help you through.

Thank you all greatly for the kind thoughts.  It means a lot when you have your "times" ... we all do a some point. Mine fell into the category of cycles that just got too close together for a while. There are always others who have it worse.

Encouragement from this kind of a venue is a special thing for sure.

We now get to focus on the good things of which there are many as well ... like

I'm not as frequent here as i'd like to be, as i have stuff going on right now, but hopefully i'll get back to normal soon.

Did some nice BS ribs and chicken last weekend, just to keep my hand in, it was delicious! (http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s62/Gitster59/Tasty.gif)
