I would like to mention that there seems to be a lot of disheartening things going on with the members here lately that if nothing else need to be kept in our thoughts and prayers. We have the wiled fires in California, we have car 54 and his broken ribs, we have Ice man and the dead beat list and I'm almost positive that I am forgetting somebody. Also Friday Morning my wife collapsed and was taken to the hospital via ambulance the doctors told us that she is very sick, her liver was shutting down do to a prescription drug interaction with an over the counter drug. They have got her stabilized now and think that she should come out of it unsaved. Although this is good it is always scary when a close loved one is in CCU. I would like to ask all of those out there, who don't mind, to keep the members of this forum in there prayers.
Thank you
Duster-I'm very very sorry to hear about your wife. I know that has to be tough on you, even though you say she should be ok. I'm sure you'll be in the thoughts and prayers of every member of this forum, and we all hope she gets well very soon.
Duster, you and the other forum members are in our thoughts and prayers.
Wow - I'm sorry this happend to your wife but glad she is going to be alright. Talk about a wake up call. Of course you guys will be in our thoughts and prayers just as the others. I hope they can pin point exactly why this happend.
QuoteI hope they can pin point exactly why this happend.
ya they did wiled cat thank you. Without mentioning any brand names She had a prescription for an antiinflammatory that she was taking and then took some Acetaminophen twice about 4 hours apart for a migraine that she had. We now learned that the antiinflammatorys that she was taking had a high level of Acetaminophen in it so she essentially hit a toxic level in her blood and her liver couldn't handle it. It is very important that everybody reads and follows the directions to any prescription medicine.
Very sorry to here about this Duster! No question she will be in the thoughts and prayers of the forum members along with everyone else. Very good to here they have it figured out because that is sometimes a problem in itself.
Mike
You definitely have my prayers for your wife and yourself. It had to be a big shock to you. Hang in there Duster.

Hey Duster -
Will be adding her to our prayers. Hopefully everthing is treated quickly.
It's nice to know that of all the organs in the body, the liver does have
the capability to heal itself as long as too much damage isn't done.
Recovery can be slow and take a long time but I'm sure that you both
will cherrish that time because it is time still together.
Here's to a speedy recover and hang in there Duster.

Guys It is so humbling to have the support of so many people and even more humbling when you realize that you have never met any of them face to face. THANK YOU EVERYBODY, FROM THE BOTTEM OF MY HART.
I do have a good report to add now and that is that Mrs. Duster aka Melissa is home now after a total of almost 5 days in the hospital 3 of which were in there critical care unit. She is not 100% by any means, she is still pretty week and still git's dizzy when she is out of bed for very long but she is home and the doctors say all she needs now is to get her strength back. Thank God
That is super news! :)
Our thoughts and prayers for your loved one from our family.
