Title: Sun Ovens
Post by: begolf25 on November 13, 2007, 05:06:28 PM
On the advice of Olds we have added the Global Sun Oven to our inventory. We have them in stock ready to go. As long as I can resist the temptation to open a few up and try them out  :D As usual if anyone from the forum is interested drop me a line and we can work out a forum discount.

Looks like the Sun is on backorder right now. As soon as we get some more in I will let you know. Might take some time though.  ;D ;D

Hi Bryan,
I recommened the sun oven (and your site) to some folks at work.  We were talking about the luncheon I threw together last week Wednesday featuring some of that left over So Cal Smokeout brisket (about 5 lbs post cook weight).  One of the "desert" campers mentioned we need to do this every quarter (which I agreed to) and then said the next one should be out at Ocotillo Wells.  I said that would require the use of a Sun Oven.  One of my other employees mentioned they were small.  I looked on your site but did not see an inside dimension for cooking area.  There are some good pictures that show the size of a dish you can put in there but just thought I'd recommend adding the dimensions.   :)

I think they'd be good for us "earthquake" challenged areas!!! Well, for that matter...hurricane challenged as well. Mom had 3 weeks without power when the big 5 hit. Thank God she had charcoal... and a generator to run the fridge and ceiling fans. (Mom's a trooper!!!)  Begolf...I'll contact you.

Giz, thank you for the recommendations and the suggestion. Dimensions have been added to the product page.

La Quinta, whenever you are ready let me know and we can get you set up.

Thanks again to all the forum members for everyone's support. Getting our business going has been a huge project and the forum has been a huge help to get us off the ground.
