Hiya Folks! I just purchased the DBS for my husband for Christmas. I am sooo excited, I can hardly stand it!
My question... Do ya'll have a favorite recipe book that you wouldn't mind recommending?
Thanks a bunch!! ;)
Smoke & Spice has a lot of good recipes to get you husband up and going. You can get it from Amazon.com. Though the recipes are excellent, the book was written for wood and charcoal smokers, as it is with most barbeque books. For smoking techniques you should rely on the experience that the forum members have to offer.
I have to go with Habs on Smoke and Spice. Good book, inexspensive and has some interesting stories! Even though it deals with "other" kinds of smokers...probe temps are probe temps...make sure you both have a really good probe themometer. The book has some really good marinades and sauces (non as good as Iceman's) but interesting! A nice addition may be for you to contact Iceman and get some sauce...you WILL NOT be disappointed!!! Hubby and I have people begging us for it out here in California!! Oh yeah...Welcome Aboard SmokinHot!!!
Welcome aboard. Ditto on the above. You can also find Smoke and Spice in any good bookstore.
Thanks soooo much! You guys are awesome!! ;D
Oldman's recipe site is great. Free as well. The recipes are also written to the Bradley.
Here is the link.

You are going to love this machine and all the fun that surrounds it.
Great Sausage Recipes And Meat Curing and another book called Charcuterie.
