Made some chops. Smoked them for about 45min and then put them on the red hot Webber for about 7 min then let them sit for 10 min. They wer tender and juicy.

Look really good Chevy...did you put a rub on them or brine? Or anything?

Thanks La Quinta. I made up a rub of Kosher salt and Turbinado Sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, dry mustard and cumin. Just threw some stuff together but it turned out tasty.

Why turbinado sugar? Just because it's more "grainy"? Would just regular brown sugar work?

I would think the turbinado would stand up better to the higher heat, but I would imagine brown sugar would work.  Maybe I'm way off on the turbinado, though.  That's why I use turbinado on my smokes anyways.
