I just set up my new digital smoker and followed directions by the book.
Everything seems to work with one exception. I seasoned the unit for one hour which was supposed to use 3 Bisquettes. When I went outside to see how the first hour of seasoning went, it was plenty smoky, but the first puck was still burning and it wasn't advancing the other pucks. Shouldn't it have burned through 3 pucks (20 minutes each)?
Any advice would be great.
Rick
turley,
I do not have the digital unit, but I believe they are suppose to advance every 20 minutes (like the original). Do they advance manually when you push the button?

Yep, they advance just fine when I press the button.

Welcome to the forum!
If you only put 3 pucks in the tube, there would be no pucks to push the others onto the burner. It takes 3 pucks to reach the burner. Hopefull that made sense? How many pucks did you load into the tube?
Mike
I put 5 pucks in, just as the instructions said to do and after 60 minutes of seasoning, the first puck was still sitting on the burner.
When i pressed the advance button, it did work, just not every 20 minutes automatically.
Did you push the advance button 3 times or just once?
Turley
When you first push the button to turn on the smoke generator, does the puck advance mechanism advance? As Smoking Duck indicated you need to advance it 2 more times (3 times in total). By the sounds of it you have that figured out. If it is advancing manually (with the button) but not even trying once 20 minutes has passed it must be a timer issue. If this is the case I would give Bradley a call and have them replace the smoke generator.
I had a couple of small issues with mine a couple of years ago when it was new but it hasn't missed a beat since. Bradley does have really good customer service and does stand behind their product, it's just too bad things like this happen in the first place.
