Title: Pork Butts...
Post by: Mr Walleye on January 20, 2008, 10:18:25 AM
I was reading the Superstore flyer Friday nite and... Holy Crap! They had bone in pork butts on sale for $1.38 lb. So I went Saturday morning and scooped 4 nice 8 to 10 lbers. Superstore is only here in Canada and I'm not sure if the sale is everywhere or just here in Saskatchewan but I thought I would let anybody who is interested know.

Soooo.... after a poor, very cold day of ice fishing on Saturday I made my first batch of sausage. Ground & stuffed 15 lbs. Fried up a little for a test and it was oh so good! It just finished the smoke portion and waitin' on the 152 IT. I'll post pictures later.

Mr Walleye,
That is the usual price at Sams I believe. Sometimes it goes down to $1.19. It is good for sausage. I have not made it in a long time. I should start it again.
Looking forward to your pictures.
