Title: Terminology
Post by: tbrown on February 03, 2008, 07:43:24 AM
I just purchased a Bradley smoker and have been browsing this forum for recipes and tips.  I see abbreviations in the messages and can figure most of them out, but what does FTC mean? Thanks and I look forward to using my new smoker.

Foil, Towel, Cooler. Wrap your smoke in aluminum foil, with a towel or two wrapped around it, and place in a pre-heated cooler.

Thanks for the info, can you tell me what the purpose of this is and what do you mean by a pre-heated cooler?

tbrown,

Welcome to the forum. FTC basically keeps things hot until you are done with your adult beverages and are ready to eat. It provides a time buffer if you get done ahead of when you want to eat. By pre-heated, that just means warming up the cooler with something hot (like hot water). I have not found the need to do that, but probably depends upon how long it may be sitting before you pull it out.
