Just a note to you all. I bought an original smoker about 15 or 20 years ago. I had me first problem about 6 months ago when the sliding thermostat knob broke off and I used a screwdriver to temp adjust.
the poor old thing finally gave up the ghost about a month ago and there was no heat
and the smoke gen wasn't advancing pucks.
I cleaned the smoke gen as per these forums and ordered a new thermostat/frontpiece from Bradley for 23 bucks plus shipping
and everything is working perfectly again.
I called Bradley on Monday for the parts and I got them 2 days later.
I can't be happier.
I own one of the first units and have spent only 23 dollars keeping it going. The support and service was remarkable.I hope everyone here has a similar experience.
Good smokin'
