I was just going over my inventory of smoker "stuff" and found a puck advance motor... I don't need one but one never knows.. Where can I find extras?? ???
Not sure, but I bet either Tiny Tim or Yard and Pool might have them or know where you can get them. You may have to order direct from Bradley.
The last ones I bought were from Surplus Center. I just called them and they are out and don't plan on any more coming in. Now Components might have some though. Do a google search and see if you can come up with a phone number for them. If you get in a bind I think I have 8 or 10 motors left and I can mail one to you.
The search engine on this forum is pretty bad, but if you do a search one member located a source on the internet. It was a motor used to rotate the tray in a microwave. Then there was someone on ebay, who bought a bunch of them and tried to sell them for 2 to 3 times as much.
If you do find the post I would appreciate if you either bumped it or included a link.

Here are a few topics that I have found but nothing that current. Has anybody asked Tiny or Bryan at Yard & Pool to see if they can get them from Bradley? About a year ago I thought I was having a problem and Bradley sent me one out. Come to think of it... it's sitting in the garage. I'll go have a look at it for part numbers or even a name.

Ok..... I ran out to the garage and dug the box out. There was a shipping receipt in the box which indicated a Bradley part number - Motor GEN120. It came complete with the arm as well.
Here is everything off the sticker on the motor.
Synchronous Motor

Here is a link to the company web site and it appears to show the exact motor.

Good work Mike.
If I recall a few years back the e-mail Shunde sent me was to the effect of if you don't want 50,000 units we don't want to talk to you.
Burden was using the same TYJ50-8 part number back then so it was an easy find until they ran out.
I'll do some checking around again and see if I can cross over to something folks can use.
I'm just wondering if Bradley would be willing to pull from production stock to sell to us. Might be worth a e-mail or call.
Thanks Mike. Hopefully either Tiny of Begolf can supply them.
Until then I'll help you and Iceman to try to find a source.
I think I may have found them....???? but the RPM is not the same.

This one won't work. It is only 12VAC and needs to be 120VAC. The shaft is wrong too but could be modified.
Now.... What type of shaft does the motor have... I found vendors but each shows different shafts... Is the shaft a threaded or half moon shaped?? The shaft type seems to dictate price. Many mircrowave parts mirco motors show the motor but each with a different shaft. the extra one I have - I bought from an online vendor but never looked at what is in the smoke generator... Ahhhhh - :-\ :-\

The one on Martin Microwave site will work but the price is kind of high at 14 bucks.
The one on Monster Markets site is the wrong voltage and shaft design.
Thanks for researching this for everyone Ivigil. It sure helped out. :)

The generators I have all have the half moon style shaft in them.

Good job! ;)
I had a look at the motor on Ebay and it is very close to the Bradley motor. The only differences I can see are the wiring on the Bradley motor is directly wired with a plug on it and they list the shaft size as 3/8". I went out and measured the Bradley motor shaft and it measures just a shade over 1/4" but not quite 5/16". I don't know if their measurement is a "loose" measurement or not. The shaft appears to just be nylon so if it is slightly larger it would easily be filed down. The wiring difference is really a non-issue. The shape of the Bradley motor is completely round, it doesn't have the squared off area where the terminals are, although I don't think this would be an issue either.
Mike
Your right about the shaft size Mike. All I ever do when replacing them is to heat the metal cam arm up with a torch just hot enough to melt the nylon shaft to fit the cut out in the arm. The wiring and bolt pattern wasn't a problem.
Oh...boy...really want to post somthing...but...well...I won't...I think "inference" is the better part of valor!!! :)
