I usually buy my spices from this place, and noticed their new product. Seems like a good idea...

Interesting.
Olds, you indicated in the past about having so much trouble with the BS generator. This may be a solution.
I guess they are a reseller. Here is more detailed information.

They even have a grill kicker product. Very reasonable price too...

I found this thing almost 5 years ago, didn't buy it because the vendor wouldn't return my emails. I'm suprised it's still around, I might try one out now.

It seems pretty cool. Besides, I have the extra smoke generator from my digital. I'm gonna try to figure out a way to permanently install it to one of my charcoal grills to set up a permanent cold smoker. But, this definitely looks like it would do the job and the cost for the bullets is pretty reasonable. The only thing I'm not sure of.......with the pistol, it seems like one bullet will get you 4 hours of smoke, but what if you only wanted 2 hours of smoke? Can you take it off halfway and re-use the bullet again? Would you want to? Otherwise, might be a big waste of wood. Another thing I noticed was a lot of inconsistencies. A lot of places they say a bullet is good for 4 hours of smoke but in others it says 2-3 hours. I guess if it's in its infancy stage, there are bugs that need to be worked out.
A very neat piece of equipment! There is another type available out there from a company called Polyscience. They deal in culinary equipment of various types. Their version of the "smoke pistol" is more (I believe) for on the spot finishing of various things but here is the link. It may be a way to use up those crumbs of pucks that often get left over.

Polyscience offers a "grapevine" saw dust. What would grapevine be good for? Maybe fish..
