Title: Bannana Peppers?
Post by: La Quinta on May 27, 2008, 02:27:17 PM
I was thinking about smoking these (as we have a bunch growing right now)...anybody done them in the same "vane" as jalepeno poppers? I was thinking about smoking them for 20-30 minutes then the stuff...coat...fry thing? I know bannana peppers are not spicey...so was gonna jack up the spice in the filling.

Thoughts?

I think your on to something LQ. As long as you jazz up the filling a bit it should have a great flavor going for it.

I love bananna peppers stuffed with a mixture of cheddar and hot sausage then grilled. Never did them in the Bradley though.

I'm gonna give it a whirl...will let everyone know...I like the chedder and hot sausage though...I may try a chilli pepper, garlic cream cheese on half and your recipe (Pens) on the other half...
