Title: How to Video ...
Post by: birdboy on December 06, 2004, 05:57:03 PM
Is the 'How to' video helpful?  What about the 'Cookbook'?

Just trying to figure out if these are really things of value when ordering or not...

I haven't used either, but I can tell you that you can get a wealth of information from this forum, both in perusing the older threads and in just asking questions.  Great members, great info...most of what I have smoked has been from following recipes/advice from this board.
Also, pick up a copy of Smoke and Spice.  You'll see it referenced by a number of members who will all tell you it's worth the money.

I don't have the video but I have heard it is a bit pricey for the info it gives you.  Ask all the questions you want and I'm sure somebody hear has done it or experienced it[:D].

My 2 cents on the video:

If you've never smoked before there is some pretty good information to be had.

If you've been doing it for 20 years and are just new to the Bradley, it's probably not going to tell you a lot, save some recipe ideas, which you probably already have or can get more of by spending the same money on a copy of Smoke & Spice.

Unrelated to the cooking aspects, it is fairly entertaining watching Wade & his buddy get snockered![:D]

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
