Sorry to hear about that, hope everything goes well.
I'm sure you'll be back smokin soon. I mean after all you still are able to lift a few 12 ouncers, right?  :D
Throw some pistachios in the smoker and sit back, relax and take it easy.

Sounds to me like you need to get your spousal unit trained up on carrying the butts from the refer to the smoker and back.  It also gives you an excellent excuse to sit by the smoker, relaxing with an adult beverage.  Of course, someone should carry it out for you  ;D

Get well soon!

FL,
Hope your recovery is rapid.  I think I read somewhere that rehab for double hernia surgery is sitting by the Bradley smoker with an adult beverage in hand while coaching your loving wife on exactly how to rub the butts(pork, not yours ;)) with the proper CYM and favorite spice rub and then further coaching on the proper placement in the smoker.

Take it easy and keep us posted on your recovery.  My next project is 25 pounds of belly bacon.  I may need your help so stay tuned.

I hope you will be lifting those butts soon. In the mean time smoke something much lighter like nuts and sausage. Never mind those two items may make you focus on your recent surgery. :)

Seriously, I hope you recover from the surgery soon.

Quoterehab for double hernia surgery is sitting by the Bradley smoker with an adult beverage in hand while coaching your loving wife on exactly how to rub the butts(pork, not yours ) with the proper CYM and favorite spice rub and then further coaching on the proper placement in the smoker.

Heres to a quick recovery, sure you would cope with the rehab outlined above!?

Take good care.  :)

I know that feeling. 15 years ago I had a disc fussion and the took a bone out of my hip. Yes, it was extremely hard to get out of bed. 8 months ago I had a cracked rip and I made the mistake of lying down. Getting up was probably the worst pain I have had in my life and was I screaming!
The solution was to sleep sitting up on a sofa until the pain was manageable which was about 6 days.

I feel for you!

I'm trying to take it easy. I am fortunate that I can do a large portion of my work from home.

I had my one-week post-op checkup the other day. Doc says all is good.

Now the hard part. Still taking it easy when you feel better.

Back to work on Monday. I think the Mrs. is ready for me to go back to work.

It has been kinda nice spending two weeks in PJ's....

Glad to hear you are feeling better but try to avoid reinjury just because you feel better. I think most women are happier when the men leave the house.  ??? I don't know why...... but they do.  ::)
