Title: First time and already a crash
Post by: Dempwolf on July 23, 2008, 10:02:29 AM
I bought a Digital Bradley Smoker yesterday and today was the day.
I had spareribbs and other meat to smoke.
It started perfect, after 20 minutes it feeded and also after 40, so I went out in the garden
but my wife shout to me after a while, something was wrong.
There were no bricks left in feeder tube.
The feeder system was crazy, it had starting feeding bricks
and didn´t stop.
I couldn´t stop the smoker or the owen with the buttons so I
toke out the electric cable, but after that it wasn´t possible to
start the 0ing thing but the feeder just went on and on.
Is there a way to reset the smoke generator otherwise it must be srewed up.

Welcome to the forum Dempwolf!

Sorry to hear of troubles, especially with your first go at it.  I'm not familar with DBS, I have the OBS and the problem I have is the advance button sticking from time to time.  Someone with more knowledge than I will be along.....Hang in there!

Welcome Dempwolf,

It is too bad that we have to welcome you this way. I would call Bradley up ASAP. They are extremely good with their help and if they even think that a part might be defective they will send you a new one promptly. They also let you keep the old one which can be salvaged for other parts.

No, the advance button is not jammed in what I know.
I tried to call the support but it wasn´t opened.
When I tried to call the shop where I bought it I was lucky,
it was still people there and one of them had a DBS himself so
I could use his generator and finishing the smoke.
At first I get the E1 error, but cause this forum I could fix
it. Thanx a lot.
The meat tasted really good, but the spareribbs I think was
to thick, so it didn´t get so smoked taste.
