Post by: NEGGS1 on August 03, 2008, 09:05:55 AM
hello all,

i made 2 pork butts for a party yesterday, we had so much food that 1 was not even touched.

i am having some people over today

what is the best way to reheat a full 7LB pork butt that we took directly from the bradley, ftc, then straight to the fridge?

thanks to all relies in advance!!!!

I would wrap it in foil and put into a 300F oven for 30 - 40 minutes or so.

I would probably do the same as FLBentRider except I think I would use a foil roaster pan, give it a splash of AJ and cover with foil.

I'm assuming it's not already pulled.

Whatever you do- don't nuke it. The microwave tends to dry the meat out and also makes the barky pieces hard. That's what I find anyways, and that's on half power.

No nukes...No nukes!!!  Just a nice reheat in the oven and you'll be golden!

I Usually cook a couple of 8 pounders for my crew at work. I smoke the day before, pull, sauce 'em up, when cooled to room temp it all goes into a vac bag. Slow heat in a crock pot the next day, more sauce as needed. Some fresh Kaiser rolls and slaw makes 'em smile.
