Title: Hello all. An introduction (and a link to free smoker plans :) )
Post by: Ryan Shervill on August 09, 2008, 08:43:34 PM
I just thought I'd drop by and say hi :) I was intro'd to the Bradley smokers by an article commision for Outdoor Canada, and I have to say: This is a LOT of fun :)

Anyway, I hope you are OK with me hanging around and looking for recipies....I showed thousands how to build a cedar smoker, (http://blog.bradleysmoker.com/index.php/tag/smoker/ (http://blog.bradleysmoker.com/index.php/tag/smoker/)), hopefully someone can show me how to make the best jerky!

Oh yeah...if anybody has a source for briquettes and an aluminum puck here in Ontario, please let me know.

Cheers,

Ryan

Welcome to the forum Ryan, plenty of recipes here and more recipes and info than you will ever need on the "recipe site" ......... see below for a link.  :)

Sorry, can't help you with regards to buying pucks and briquettes in Canada but I am sure someone will chip in here.

Hi Ryan and welcome to the forum.

I'm from Canada as well (Sask) and I just ordered my Bubba Pucks from the USA. I bought mine from Chez Bubba but he no longer sells them. You can get them from Yard and Pool (he's a member here and great to deal with). Here's a link.

As far as pucks go, every once in a while Canadian Tire has them on sale for $15.99 for a 48 pack, although their selection is less than desirable. I have found on Ebay.ca a company selling lots as large as 10 boxes at a time. The company is Cold Lake Marina. They are located in Cold Lake, Alberta. I thought about just phoning them and seeing what kinda price they would have but I have never got around to it.

Here is a link to their store on Ebay.

Here is a link to their main web site if your interested in contacting them directly.

welcome to the community.  I gotta get a good source for pucks myself, running on reserves from Chez before he stopped selling.  I think I will go with Bryan as well, shop is not to far from me.  I directed my Boss to get his Bradley from him and it all worked ok.  I like what he has and prices are good.  Can't get Maple as Bass Pro anyway.
