I smoked a pork butt a couple months ago. Did the norm rub and all, vac bagged and froze it. Today i am doing a twist on some carnitas.
Thawed smoked butt.

I put the pork in a galss dish and put it in the bbq. I use a traeger grill but you can use a gas grill also. It will pick up some smoke too. I am at 300* and using oak. After it gets cooks some i will add the chili verde and return it back to the grill. Stir the pork a few times while in the grill.

Bumped the heat to 350* and added the chili verde.

Stir into butt and cook for another 30 mins.

I have a butt in the smoker right now. I like your chili verde plan. I love the salsa verde.....I think I'll try the same with some of mine. Nepa, how will you serve it. In tortillas?
I thought for me maybe in tortillas with cilantro, cabbage and avacado slices.
