Title: Tropicana Golden Grapefruit Juice.
Post by: Oldman on September 24, 2008, 03:44:41 PM
Hey all... every year we wait for our 50 year old Duncan Grapfruit Tree to produce. It beats the tar out of the hybrids. Well this year Tropican has come out with a "Golden Grapefruit Juice."  It as close to what our Duncan produces as it gets.

If you are a Grapefruit drinker we strongly suggest you give this item a shot. AND NO! You don't (sic) need to smoke it first!!

Hey Good Lookin'

It is the taste of old Florida juice. As far as ruby reds go I've had fresh and store purchased -- sorry but ruby reds just don't get-er-done.

Thanks for the compliment first Olds... ;) Are they a micro-climate grow...or can they be grown on the east cost...block away from the beach...ya know...salt water spray...Mom lives in a bit of a micro climate herself...she has a big baby bell orange in her yard...that is unheard of in her area. U of F people came down to her house to look at the tree!! (Wish they came from FSU...but...what the hell!!!)  :D

Duncans were the grapefruit of the day here when I was a kid. Later most went with hybrids as they are seedless.
