Title: Reveo for cheap!
Post by: DrunkenMick on October 14, 2008, 04:57:05 PM
If anyone is on the fence about a Reveo but the price was a bit steep.  I just found it at Gevalia for $59.99.  Awesome price

My new Vac sealer has some canisters for marinating, but I have not tried them. Is this the same thing?

Smokin Soon

I think it would be similar but not the same. I don't know if the Reveo has a more powerful vacuum or not but it also gently tumbles the product which aides in absorption of the marinate. At least that's my take on it.

OK Mick, it's your fault, I ordered one. If anyone has any supremo recipes for this Reveo thingie, it will put the wife back in her cage! I went through the same thing with the Bradley and now she just asks "What are you smoking this weekend? It seems my toys have to prove there worth. Did the same thing with the Infra-Red fryer thingie, and now she loves it. Go figure!

If I want to play really dirty, I just say "Ok, I'm in a really bad mid-life crysis and I'm going to buy a Harley" That makes the cooking toys look lame!

Also, drinking from a distance, I would ask the same question to TBS, cause I just ordered one. In total panic now, will revert to chasers with my beer. Ok TBS I have to work tomorrow, and now I have someone to blame for a foggy tomorrow!

Beefman;

You should know TBS' personality by now. When he post something like that he is generally referring to Sucks = Vacuum. :)

It would have been better if I said his sense of humor, but it was too early in the morning to think of adjectives. :)

Thanks Gevilia!

Nope...I got the same crap SS...they charged my credit card anyway...apologized profusly...then said it would be 3 to 5 days before they could do the credit...I asked the little gal whether they would be picking up the interest as well from the 14th of October until today and she couldn't really say! I asked her...that if the product wasn't available...why did you charge my credit card? She obviously could not answer and I told her that...I know you can't...not your fault (never punish the messaenger) ...but...WHAT THE HELL? It's not like Gevalia is K-Mart.

I wish I knew about this price sooner. That is WAY cheaper then what we buy them for directly from them manufacturer. I guess that is why they are no longer available.

I understand the rotation distributes the marinade better but can you get similar results using a vac sealer and the canisters?
