Title: Chicken thighs and legs
Post by: GaryandKari on October 22, 2008, 10:57:20 AM
Our local store has these on sale for 57 cents a pound, so I thought why no get a couple of pounds and smoke...We've only done whole chickens so far.  Any tips on doing pieces, how long to smoke, I assume to 165?  Any other advice?

Same routine as doing your whole chickens, just cook time will be shorter!  I like to go with about 2 hours of mesquite smoke, hit your IT, pull and slather with your favorite sauce and off to the grill or under the broiler for just a smidge to crisp and set the sauce!  Good luck!  Heres a batch I did not to long ago.

All these pictures of good food and I am sitting at work and its only 8:13. It's just not fair. I shouldn't visit the site until after I have eaten.
