Title: Buffalo Wing Recipe ?
Post by: Crimson Ghost on November 16, 2008, 04:11:02 AM
OK, after all your help my Pork Roast yesterday was simply delicious !

Today we would like to smoke up some Buffalo Wings and I was wondering if anyone here knows a decent recipe.

My wife printed something out (probably from the Bradley site).  If memory recalls its as easy as flouring the wings, hot sauce and smoking for 2 hours.

Has anyone prepared wings and have a good recipe you could share ?  I did a search but it only returned 1 hit (Jimmy K. wings)

CG,
I'm fairly confident I have seen posts of wing recipes on this forum.  Do a search for them.  Also, remember that poultry really absorbs the smoke probably more so than any other meat so a couple of hours worth of smoke is probably sufficient.  Poultry has a ton of moisture content.  I always run the vent full open when doing any type of poultry.

You can use the Jimmy Kimmel wing recipe also; just substitute the sauce with:

Original Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 C. Frank's Red Hot sauce
1/3 C. Melted butter
Good for 2 1/2 pound of wings.

Hi - I made the Wings and they were a huge it.  I was a little worried since it got pretty darn cold outside yesterday and the smoker just could not get up to heat.  I cooked them for longer than planned but at the end they turned out perfectly.

I did my search from a sub forum rather than the main directory, I didn't realize that made a difference.  Once I searched from the main listing it returned plenty of posts on wings.
