Title: Pork loin in Cryovac pac?
Post by: Smoking Duck on November 17, 2008, 11:09:07 AM
How long do you reckon they would stay good if only refrigerated?

Thanks!

It should have a "use by" or "sell buy" date.

look for the sell date and if frozen in a good package then 6 months or  so

Yea, I have a friend who had two that got pushed back to the back of his fridge.....he wanted me to make some Canadian Bacon for him and they slipped his mind.  The sell by date is in September and they were not frozen.  I told him I didn't think they were any good but I remember reading something about "wet-aging" in cryovac pacs and thought I'd ask the question.

I'll tell him to go buy some more.

Thanks!
