I know a lot of you probably like to make your own sauces, but I was wondering what store bought sauces also work in a pinch. I am most interested in what sauces you use for pulled pork, and pork ribs.
Thanks,
Dustin
Dust,

Store bought, Jim Beam sauce hands down, but if the don't have that in stock and no time to make any, the K.C. Masterpiece collection kind of grown on me and my dad. Especally their Honey.

Bone-suckin-sauce for me. Hands down favorite!.
For butts, ribs, and sometimes brisket, I only use Iceman's Sop n Sauce and his rub Oinker Rub on the butts and ribs. The rub I use for brisket is Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Garlic, and Onion.
I guess it would be Bullseye Ragin Bull! But I need to still kick it up some myself.
I tried all the "World Harbor " flavors and thought they weren't too bad, I usally mix some of their BBQ sauce with some remaining chicken wing marinade ( = parts of hot sauce and italian dressing) NOT THE STUFF YOU HAD THE CHICKEN IN !!! for wing sauce.
I really like one called "Russ and Franks Sassy BBq Sauce. Its got a nice little twang to it and I use it mixed with Ice's sauce to make it last much longer. Also just add a litle Hosin sauce for Asian Ribs and such. I buy it by the gallon.

For store bought that you can get at a moment's notice would be Sweet Baby Ray's for pork and chicken. For beef I would use Stubb's.

Rudy's and The Salt Lick.....I miss visiting Austin!!!
Never had The Salt Lick. We have a French Lick here in Indiana though. :o How does Salt Lick compare to Rudy's?
When we use "boughten", there is a local restraunt that sells their sauce.
It used to be KC Masterpiece Bold, but they discontinued it at least here. :'( Now it's Sweet Baby Rays.
If I am forced into store bought sauce then its Jack Daniels old #7 else its ICE MANS sauce all the way for everything (Man that stuff is good) ;D ;D

Hooked up with a bottle or the recipe to make it myself?
If we buy sauce, we try to find "Pats" or Selmon Bros.
Both are pretty good sauces.
:P

Hooked up with a bottle, if you did get the recipe outa him he would probably then have to "silence" you if you get my drift!! ;) :D
Iceman's sauce is the BEST. :)
