Title: New York Strips
Post by: westexasmoker on November 20, 2008, 06:45:03 AM
Felt like a steak and tater kinda night!  Strips out of the marinade covered with black pepper resting while the smoker comes up to temp!

Hours worth of smoke

I was out of charcoal, so had to go with the grill pan 2 minutes per side and resting with a pat of butter

And a couple of smokey baked taters!

Could'nt get the plated up picture.....I was hungry!  ;D

Looks good.  I am having prime rib filet tonight, but I plan to hot smoke with hardwwod oak and a little charcoal on my charcoal/wood smoker.

NY strip is one of my favorite cuts, now you got me thinking of smoking another top loin. Ouch! Maybe I'll have to send back my tur-duc-hen so that I can afford it. :)
