A couple forum members have been asking about one of my toys. Here is my #1 rig right now. Yes my BS has fallen in the ranks to #2. Different toys for different uses  ;D

Its uses an auger to feed the hot box. has a couple of fans. If you are thinking on getting one i would get it with the 180LV controller. on smoke it maintains 150* to 180, perfect for low and slow. if you would like a nice link to a store with good prices just pm me.

Nepa, I was looking at some of the Treager recipies and they seem to do the smoking at the end of the cooking rather than the beginning. Reason?

Have you had it long enough to determine how long a 20 lb bag of pellets will last?

Nice set up Nepas.  When things start turning around for me, that's my first purchase.  I saw Terry Bradshaw hawking the Traeger and figure if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

I have had it since march, i get around 6/8 bbq's out of a bag. The higher you have the temp the faster the pellet auger turns. So far i have gone through 220lbs of pellets. Each bag is 20lbs, cabelas price is $17.99 a bag but with my discount i get em for $14  ;D

Thanksgiving i will prob use 1/2 bag.

I'm no math wizard here, but I think were looking at reduced cooking times for ribs, butts, and roasts. Considering electricity costs and bisquettes, that does not sound bad.
