First thanks for removing the DoW from my name.
At first I could only post with the new name if I entered my name and pass word on the posting forum itself. Normal log-on did not work. Next this is what I had to do in order to continue to post without have to log on each time I posted something.
1.) Go to Profile and then log on with new name, old password. (For some reason it let me edit my profile.)
2.) Changed my password.
3.) Then had to clear my internet temp files and all cookies.
Blame back in business!

It says I'm log on but then when I got to post it says I need to log on`~~~ go figure. No big deal I can log on for each posting.

ok once i make a post i get the error mesage but it does post the post. just makes you go hummmmm? i was able to edit this post, must be a bug in 5the server or they need to do a reboot, you know what this all started after Chez was messing with Dow-oldmans name, hummmmmmmmmm.
I got the error posting this morning as well,
Can we assume that it is not dissimilar to the difficulty we were having a couple of months ago???

Interesting--it's posting the messages, but not updating the # of posts under your name . . .

Well it looks like I'm good to go again for a few anyway... we will see.
I cannot see a relationship between my cgi-bin file and this site. When Chez changed my name if it had corrupted my cgi-bin file I cannot even image it effecting the rest of this site--it is a single file that only relates to me. If it did this, then this is one strange board and I can offer for free a replacement--of course we don't want to do that as we would lose our data base of postings.

I still get an error but at least I stay logon. [:D]
Interesting I can edit and not get the error~~~ Chez must smokin' the board is all I can think of LOL!

. . . and your post # is not updating, either. If the post # update is tied into the post itself being saved on the server with a unique ID, then it's possible none of the recent posts have actually been saved . . . might need to check this out.

Can't imagine it's your name change that did it, Olds.
BTW, I should now have 56 posts and only show 51. Damn--I'm trying to work my way out of this depressing "Average Member" category. Even my wife is laughin' at me ('[;)]')('[;)]')

Same problem.
It's now 1:35pm CST and all seems back to normal. Sad thing, when I found out nothing was working and couldn't go to the new posts I deleted them all. It's Y2K running a little late.

These problems, plus the current lack of email , are due to the server move which took place yesterday. The whole of the bradleysmoker.com site has been relocated on a Windows 2003 Server. This due to the high data transfer in the past 3 months . I can post ok myself and we are working on the email component. Apologies for the lack of service.

WoW John, you folks don't owe us any apologies. Moving to Win 2003 is impressive to say the least.
To those that don't know BS has just spent some real monies in an upgrade.....
I'm calling this a FIRST_CLASS_ACT~~! Almost as good as the smoker itself...

Thanks, Grakka! I'm no computer guru, but that's a great upgrade. Don't know if there's anything you can about this, but with this post I should have 59 or 60 to my credit. Not a bog deal at all, but if it's an easy thing to correct . . .
Happy New Year!
