Title: Stainless Cleaning
Post by: JDNC on December 14, 2008, 01:39:29 PM
Does anyone know if the stainless OBS has a protective coating, clearcoat etc., on the outside?  I've attempted to clean mine, but soap and water just ain't getting it.  The outside feels as it has some type of finish and I would hate to damage it with 409 or stainless cleaner.

I'm not sure JD.  I go to the local dollar store and buy this stuff call Oxygen Orange.  When I had the house fire, the restoration company said that worked great on removing smoke and soot.  That's what I use on the outside of mine when I think about cleaning it.

SD,

Thanks, I'll try to locate the cleaner locally.  Maybe I can use it for cleaning the door seal.
