Title: Big Easy Wings & Chicken
Post by: begolf25 on December 15, 2008, 06:05:05 PM
Well, fired up my Big Easy a few times over the weekend to try it out. All I can say is, WOW! I did wings and a whole chicken and they were both great. The Big Easy sure does deliver. Here are a few pics from my first two Big Easy tries. There will be many, many more to come.

My Big Easy Basket. I used the idea Mike (Mr. Walleye) had for making extra racks. I had an old set of used Bradley racks I used to make these. Gives me 5 levels. I was able to load 4.5 lbs of wings with no problem.

Wings ready for the Big Easy. Rubbed with a little olive oil, lemon juice and some Old Bay seasoning.

Wings all done and crispy. Ready for a sauce bath.

Wings after being tossed in my mixture of buffalo wing sauce and a touch of teriyaki.

Now on to the chicken. Bird was just over 4 lbs and took about 1 hour to cook.

Here she is rubbed down with garlic oil and a few shakes of a poultry rub.

After one hour, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Better then any pre-cooked chicken I have ever bought in the grocery store.

Thanks to everyone for all the tips. Now I just have to figure out what goes in it tomorrow night!

Nepa,

Everyone is great. My little man Carter, how is nor 19 months, doesn't really have the whole Santa thing down yet but I am sure he is gonna love opening presents this year. I can't wait for Christmas morning.

How is your family? Will your boys be back at all for the holidays?
