Title: dilemma.... turkey cannon or bradley? hmmmmm.......
Post by: firerescueman on December 17, 2008, 06:12:37 PM
Ok folks,

have another question.   I am cooking the turkey this year for my dad's Christmas dinner.  I have the trusty OBS,  and I also have a new treager Lil' Tex grill.   I have a "Turkey Cannon" that I have never used.  I am debating whether I want to smoke the turkey or cook it on the treager using the turkey cannon.  (the cannon is basically like a "beer can chicken rack" but made for turkeys.)

Has anybody here done one both ways?  I really love the way the turkey tastes out of the smoker,  but I always like to try new things, too.

HELP!!!!!!

Which would you do?

That is what I have been leaning towards,  but I guess I am just nervous about my first time... Ya know?

I KNOW about how long it takes to smoke a 15lb bird in the OBS,  I KNOW how well it will tun out when cooked in the OBS.

I LOVE trying new ways of cooking things,  I am just nervous 'cause this is for the family and I don't have time to try one ahead of time.

what to do.....   what to do........ :-\  :-\  :-\  ???  ???  ???
