Post by: Smoking Duck on December 31, 2008, 01:16:08 PM
Happy New Years, one and all!  Here's hoping that 2009 will be better than 2008 for everyone.  Tomorrow, we get to start anew!  Be safe while celebrating!

Ditto that SD!  ;)

I hope everybody has a great New Years Eve and an even better 2009!

Just remember... if your celebrations include alcohol (mine does!  :D ), don't drink & drive.

Play safe!  ;)

I'm letting others cook this holiday and I'm looking forward to some nice treats.  Happy New Year to all.  Celebrate with some good football, good food, good memories in the making, good spirits (of the liquid and emotional types), and all the other good things.

And one other thing: Happy Birthday Smoking Duck (sorry to out you, paisan).

Happy New Years Guys & Gals. I guess I should be happy cause I got a job offer today, but it really is a crap job compared to what I had, with crap hours and crap pay, but I am going to take it, and try to ride out 2009. I will keep looking in the meanwhile. I guess we all just have to adjust to the times. ***A TOAST TO YOU ALL***   [burp!]  ;D

I'm sitting here laughing at myself for pretending FL should be staying up late with that large box of treats he's smoking.   In the olden days (about 2 years ago and before) I used to hit the all night shows and managed to see some great music acts on NY eve.

Here's the music seasoning my NY this year (at least the drinks are cheaper, and the bathroom lines shorter):  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abUhT2zeCKU&feature=related

Wouldn't want to change a thing, unless I could get Elvis Costello to play the song.  Duck: I'd recommend SF in another season unless you want to hit some sort of a huge convention center party.

Happy New Year to you all! Cheers
Consiglieri

Thank you very much, Deb.  I'm believing you're right!  At least that's the attitude I'm bringing with me into the new year.  My wife is actually talking about the possibility of me going to culinary school.  She knows I love to cook and her whole family thinks I ought to change my career paths, so maybe this will be the year of Smoking Duck.  I really hope that this is a year that ALL of us prosper.  Happy New Year to you and yours, Deb and when I get up to your neck of the woods, I'll take you up on the cake!
