Well my Grandson did it. He is officially a Polar Bear. Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wi. Thousand of people watching and only hundreds were taking the dip. It was extremely cold because of constant strong winds and the water temperature was 33 degrees. My Grandson is the skinny guy.

Dang, that is crazy! I would imagine that would probably send me into cardiac arrest within 14 seconds! Good on him, Brad!

I rember people complaining about how cold Lake Michigan is in the summer!!!!

I just watched the news and they said that the conditions were that worst in over 23 years. Another one said the worst ever. I am with smoking Duck. There are people that go into immediate shock under these conditions and I believe that includes me. Hats off to my Grandson and his friend. They survived the plunge of 2009.

Brad was that your wife hiding your view of the Busch Light can? Congrats to your Grandson hes got bigger one than I do!! I aint jumping in no lake in January at least not on purpose.

And yesterday I found it hard to go outside with less then three layers of clothing. Go figure.

I like the picture of the woman holding a cold one. If it were me, I would have had a Hot Toddy in my hand.
