you really should. This country gal has got it going on.
I don't know what she looks like......heck she could be 4" taller than me, 40 pounds heavier and have more hair on her face than I do and I think I'd still be in love! ;D She really knows how to smoke stuff and other cool things. Be sure to check out the shrimp pond while you're there!

Wow Cowgirl, very impressive. :)
Thanks Mike and Pensrock!
I'm still trying to figure out how to get around this site... looks nice!!
I was indeed impressed with all the food presentations but it was the appreciation for the wire feed welder as a gift that took me across the line!! Cowgirl, you gotta have 'em lined up for miles at your gate!! ;) ;) ;D Re: figgering out how to get around on this site....ALWAYS start with the fish first! ;) I'm bookmarking your blog and looking forward to future drooling....heck, I don't even LIKE freshwater shrimp but wouldn't turn down those bacon wrapped smoke curlytails in your pictures...
ThanX for the link Duckman!!

Wow......to me this is like meeting a sports star.
I really admire the stuff you've done on your blog. I really appreciate the effort you've given on your projects and then shared them with everyone and everyone.
I hope you come around more often and share your ideas and recipes here.
We also have some incredible folks here who share your same passion for building things and making things better.
I think I'm blushing like a schoolgirl :-[

I found her blog long before I found this forum - and have it marked on my social bookmark site. I wonder why I had a need to find the forum? There are those of us that go around and live some of our lives vicariously through others. She lives and does some of the things that I don't get to. Thanks Cowgirl for the dreams.

lol...I had hoped to buy a wire welder at some point, but something always came up. My big brother gave me one for Christmas and said he wanted to see what I could build with it. ;D He gets a kick or of my projects. ;D
I'm also not fond of store bought fresh water shrimp, but the flavor and texture of fresh-from-the-pond shrimp is about as good as it can get. lol
Thank you for the tip about starting with the fish first... I appreciate it! Also, I appreciate you checking out my blog.... I'm not sure what a blog is supposed to look like, I just post about things I do. (it's my diary lol )
Habanero Smoker....thank you!
Smoking Duck, you are too kind!!
I hope to do some reading here...looks like a nice forum. Glad to hear others here like to build things too. ;D
Caneyscud, thank you so much for the kind words! I do enjoy living out here in the middle of nowhere. ;D ;)
Now, I'm blushing! Now go for a plasma cutter!

Hi cowgirl and welcome.
Just want to comment on your blog, it's just a nice comfy home feeling to visit. I know I'll be spending some time there.
That sure was a nice sized bobcat you nabbed. I have them around here trying to get at my guinea hens and chickens. Extremely bold animals.
Thanks.
Excellent link Smoking Duck, and a great site cowgirl! Welcome to the forum. :)
Thank you for the warm welcomes Westexas, HTC and Manxman. :)
Also, thank you for the kind words about my blog.
HCT, sorry to hear you have a bobcat problem too!
I'm enjoying reading the site...lots of good information and talented smokers here. :)
I would also like to welcome you Cowgirl. You certainly have the envy of my heart as well with all you have done and know. I grew up in the Midwest and do miss a lot of the true freedoms (hunting, fishing, etc.) that are not as easily obtainable in San Diego. Job and great weather keeping me here for the time being.
Very impressive spreads you put on there. Haven't seen anything I would'nt dive right in on for a good tasting or two. I wasn't able to find the bobcat picture the others were talking about but I did notice you had a post about a plane flying and landing with one wing. That was an impressive bit of flying but alas I must tell you the secret.
It is a great impersonation but a total hoax. It was done with a model airplane. Check out the landing and see how it bounces, just like a model. Another sign is when the plane turns on the run way, there is a brief blur to hide the changing of the perspective of a model airplane with a full size version. Quite well done though.
I posted this on your blog anonymously but since it was an old post, and you might not check back that far, I thought I'd leave you a not here in case you get back.
Hi Gizmo, thank you so much for the nice welcome and the kind words too. I'm glad you have enjoyed posts in my blog. :)
I think the bobcat picture is posted in October.
I checked for your post on the plane, but could not find it. Could it have been an e-mail?
I'm still reading everything I can on this forum, looks very nice. 8)
Same thread as the cat.

Thanks Gizmo! :)
Were you the one that posted about the F-16 then?
Cowgirl,
I am glad you are on the forum to say hello and thanks. Smoking Duck was talking about building a pit and it got me interested in building one. I had been researching cinder block pig cookers when I came across your blog. I love your set up and love the cost even more! It would be nice to have a permanent set up but your cooker works great as a tear down pit for parties. I love it! Thanks for the tips!
No, just the one on the link I posted here. My comment does not show up on your blog. You would have to approve it. :)

I really like my cinderblock pit...it's not very pretty, but it sure puts out good food. lol I like the fact that I can move it too. ;D
Hope you build one, take pics for me if you do! :)

Gizmo, I don't know what happened to your comment. Sorry!!!
I just checked the comment section to be approved and it's empty. It's probably asking too much to have you retry?
I'm sure sorry it got lost.... :-[
Not a problem. Still have the link up actually.
Done.
Thank you so much Gizmo! I appreciate you resending the message. 8)
Again, sorry for misplacing the first one!
