Title: Need some suggestions

I have a mess of pre-cooked shrimp, can I just cold smoke them for a period of time? and if so, how long ?

I have only cold smoked shrimp and then grilled. Did some big bacon wrapped prawns and finished in the Big Easy, but they were raw.

Since they are precooked, and if they have been properly handle, I don't see any reason why you couldn't apply some smoke and freeze them. I've never smoked shrimp, but I would think 40 minutes of a light wood such as Alder, Apple or Maple would be fine.

the bigger the shrimp the better.  And make sure they are dry and shells off before smoking and keep the temp way down unless you want dried out shrimp.  Can marinade in something like Italian Dressing if desired.
