Title: Mounting raptor/competitor
Post by: hercules on January 14, 2005, 02:21:08 PM
Hey all, Just got the power raptor package and was wondering if and how anyone had mounted the raptor/competitor units to their BS.

Thanks,
hercules

hercules,
I know bill has posted pics before of his setup.  Maybe try a search on raptor or guru[;)].  Have fun.

Are you talking about hooking up the wiring or how to place the unit once it is set up. Bill's post on how to set it up is here http://www.bradleysmoker.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=400&whichpage=3 . The pictures on how he mounted it are here http://www.bradleysmoker.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=599&whichpage=1 .

I'm in the process of rigging up a mount to set the guru on. When (or if I get it completed) I will send pictures.

The Procom4 comes with a stainless bracket that I mounted with Velcro on top of the smoke generator.  You then attach the control unit with the screw on the back to the stainless bracket.  I liked the little aluminum clip on the competitor.  I just put it on the competitor and cinched it down at the top of the puck chamber.  It sat more at eye level that way.  My present bracket is slanted to the back for ease of looking at the unit, but who needs to look at it.  It just has to work!
