FL had a 50% off sale on Chuck Roasts today so once I heard that I made my way over. Got a close to 4lb with a chipotle rub sitting in the fridge. Also I ordered some new pucks from Amazon with the b3g1 free thing. Finally got me some mesquite so I am thinking about using that tomorrow. As a mesquite virgin do you think 3 hours of it would be two much? Ahh how I love my OBS!

Mesquite is the strongest smoke for the Bradkey.

There are some here that love it on everything, and some that can't stand it.

If you like your smoke strong, go for the three hours, if not, I wouldn't do more than 2.

Brisket-Lover,

I love Mesquite, not as much as WestTexasSmoker, but I love mesquite. I would have to agree with my Bent-Friend..., 2 hours should be sufficient. If you try this, and want more of a smokey flavor, then increase. Or you could try alternating pucks with something slightly less strong.

Well my OBS won't heat so I am out of luck. I had to put in the oven since dinner time is approaching. Its not going to be the same without smoke.
