Post by: FLBentRider on February 21, 2009, 06:01:36 PM
I have three pineapples that went into the dehydrator today. Should be done tomorrow.

I love dried pineapple, when I make it I also slice some apples, soak them in the pineapple juice then dehydrate them also.

I just put a pineapple in my dehydrator, also some limes.  Ive never had dried pineapple before but I hear it is delicious.

I learned that the kind I like is the candied kind. You cook in in sugar syrup about 45 minutes and then dehydrate it.

Much less healthy.

The regular dried is good, though.

Saw a food channel dude talking about making a pulled pork sandwich ... as a part of that he used grilled pineapple.

I can see pineapple and pork going together pretty nice.  Not sure what that means but the post reminded me of the TV show...  Kind of a girlyman pork sandwich it seems to me.  ::) ADD Strike.
