Title: Friday Night Smoke
Post by: jrockfl on February 22, 2009, 04:11:20 PM
I made my second pork butt on Friday night for my Dad.
I cooked it for 9 hours using 10 wood pucks. 5 hickory and 5 cherry
I removed it from the Bradley when the IT was 190 and then FTCed for 3 hours
and then drove it over to my Dad's house. Cooler and all.

Started off with my own rub. Nice and sweet.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder

Rub mustard all over the pork butt and added the rub.
I didn't use mustard on the first pork butt, so I thought I would give it a try.
It was like mud when I was done.

After 9 hours of cooking

Sorry I don't have a "pulled pork" picture, I took it over to my dad and gave him instructions on how to pull it.
