Wife went a local grocer yesterday, found bone-in butts at 99 cents per pound.  Asked to her to buy two.  Got home and they are only about 4 pounds each so I am sending her back to get two of the biggest they have.  Will probably use the smaller ones for tasso.

Don't find butts around here for 99 cents per pound very often.

Here is the butt in the Traeger. Smoke is a mix of maple and pecan peletts. This is 4 hours @225*

On this one I used some store bought BBBR and coating it with Carolina Treet sauce.

9 Hours with an IT of 173*. Going to foil boat it now, mop more Carolina Treet on it, cover it with heavy duty foil and take the IT to 194*  ;D

Nepas, that is a thing of beauty! As many pics have been posted my myself and many others, I think butts rate very high on my " food porn" list. Worth every bit of the effort.  ;D

Nepa, I plan on getting one this summer. Do you recommend the 180 controller over the 225? Any other accessories like the smoke rack or anything else?

The 180LV is better than the 225. And the 075 smoke rack add extra cooking area. I got the texas wheel kit on mine too but i think those are disc also.
