Hey malihini.

Malihini - not a word I usually have applied to me after living most of my life in Hawaii but appropriate here (although I'd probably have expected "FNG" instead). Anyway, Mahalo for the welcome.

That just aint right you rubbing it in with Mud Bugs. I want some!!!
I wish I could find an all you can eat for mud bugs around here. I am sure I could match your 5 plates, and then maybe some.

One of the (very few) bad things about living in Hawaii is that mudbugs (Notice I didn't get into the "crawfish" or "crayfish" debate) aren't commonly available. Luckily I am able to solve part of the problem by overindulging (if one can truly overindulge when it comes to mudbugs) on my usually annual pilgrimage to N'Awlins for JazzFest (56 days and counting!).
And just what does a mudbug taste like? I have been to New Orleans a couple of times in my younger days and it is somewhat of a fogged memory if you know what I mean. How are they cooked?
Boiled in water with lots of yummy cajun spices, some corn on the cob and red potatoes usually thrown in for the balance. :P :P :P :P
5 lbs of those it seems to me a couple of little snails would sail right down.... you a good man Ne Pa ;D
:D ??? >:( :P
Mug bugs...

When we go to the relatives in Baton Rouge they add smoked sausage, crabs, onions, little taters, small ears of corn and some swamp boil. Put newspaper all over the table and dump all the boiled yummies right in the middle ;D
