Title: Marinating ribs
Post by: okeejohn on March 16, 2009, 12:50:52 PM
I have some company tomorrow and thinking about trying marinatred ribs in either pepsi or coke overnight. Can anybody help me with either a redcipe, advise, or even if it's worth it. Thanks.

I've not done the cola marinade. The Alton Brown rub is tops around here.

I never tried a marination.  My ribs are always nice and moist (other than one time with bad ribs from start).

I tried many rubs but best has been Goose Bay Oinkner Rub. 24hrs then in smoker.    yum.

I have tried cola or beer marinades with ribs, it's all about personal tastes. I prefer the rub of choice wrapped in plastic overnight. As far as cooking / smoking, That's something you will have to experiment with.
Lots of different meathods here and on the recipe sight. I do, however reserve 6 hours of time for any ribs I do when guests are involved. That can change for weather conditions.
