Title: SS vs Original Smoke Generator
Post by: BigJohnT on July 21, 2009, 03:32:44 PM
The SS smoke generator appears to be different than the original one. Does anyone know if they are different and if the differences make any difference?

Thanks
John

Hi John

The SS & Black generators are the same there is no difference besides the metal itself.

You may be looking at the SS Generator c/w adaptor it come with an adaptor plate which is removable.

As far as I know there is no difference with the exception of the stainless steel. Having said that if you buy the stainless generator designed to be mounted to a home built smoker it comes with the mount. When you buy a replacement OBS (black) generator it doesn't. You can buy the mount separate though and in fact is what I did when I built mine.

You would have to ask Bryan at Yard & Pool about the price on the adapter. I ordered mine directly from Bradley because I like in Canada.

Brian,

Thanks for the info. That must be what I was looking at.

Mike,

Thanks, I must have been looking at one with the adapter. I was a mite confused for a bit...
